$3000 in account at the moment
$2000 is committed. (1000 to PASM, 600 for gliding event, 400 etc.)

KIDS CLUB:
Jan – Serina with Math Magic
Feb – Student section did the windtunnel and flight simulator
Mar – Don Lacy and Delta Darts out at Pima – 2 parents didn’t show up.
Apr – Rockets at Bear Down Field – Sara needs help. Steve Lubliner. LPL building is locked
We need one more session and Sara is trying to organize an art work competition.

If we can’t do this in May we’ll push it over to next year.
Robotics Session
We’ll need someone dedicated for this
We’d need 2K worth Cat III
Very worthwhile.
Tucson High and Wildcat have a robotics program
It’d be best if we had a teacher who wanted to do this and we could just arrange for money the resources.
SOARING EVENT
Soaring this Friday. Students will spend 2 or 3 more and they’ll subsidize.
We have 6 members.
Jeff will collect the money since doug will be there last.
We should collect the money and then give the club one AIAA check
95 per person, 25 per student
Doug to send out map and details to participants.
Bruce Somebody to presented charts will do that again.

STUDENT SECTION NEWS:

Just got back from Wichita
47 teams showed up with 46 teams. Record.
33 had successful flights – including UofA
Saturday was no wind – uofa needed wind.
Sunday was 30-40 mph winds.
Finished 23rd. Crash on Sunday for the payload flight.
Report score was an 88%. – Great Job
Students need information about end of year reports.
- I’ll contact Sergie, Bruce, or whoever to get reports.
AERIAL ROBOTICS:
Frank went to a TERA meeting at Tucson High School
Toured their robotics lab
Involved with battlebots – they don’t fly
ECE students are working on a hovering vehicle control system (circuit board)
going well,
they have all the sensors they need
sonar, photo sensor, range sensors, etc.
working on staying inside the building.
Report due proving that they can get a signal from the building to 3km away.
-21 dB of losses from walls, etc.
- still working on the issue.
Working on simplifying the drop vehicle
need to keep the props from breaking.
Competition is at Ft Benning GA at the end of July.
