ATTENDEES:

Officer Elections:

- Matt to email membership with roster.

- Mail to officers first for approval.

- Amy will be the new Secretary starting in Septemberish.

- Matt to look at Bylaws and see how we’re supposed to do elections.

Homeland Security:

- Sara is working on the Monterey Homeland Security Conference for Kevin Kremeyer.

- Sara will tell us if we can help.

- Matt is receiving the bank statements for this. Sara will try to fix this.

KIDS CLUB:

• Done for the year
• Sara is working on dates for next year
• 3-4 teachers are already lined up. (Don Lacy, Luna Va, Steve Lubliner)
• We’re not going to raise the price.
• There will be 7 sessions.
• Sara wants to find more under served, “at risk”, kids this year.

DBF:

- Brian has found some interest at the Kansas Cosmosphere.

- Matt will be there to help out if needed.

- Amy’s article will be in Aerospace America.

- Sara is putting together a “lessons learned” document for next year.

- Amy & Brian think we could have handled more kids.

WEBSITE:

• New newsletter is on the website.
• We still have an old renegade site. I think it’s on the AIAA server.
• We asked Ola about it and he doesn’t know where it is.
• Frank recovered some old newsletters from the old site.
• Frank to contact the AIAA webmaster and see if we get this old page removed.

TREASURER:

• We have $3499.68 in checking account as of 5/15/07.
• I need to reimburse Steve Lubliner for rocket session. Sara will resend the receipts to Matt.
• Matt to reimburse myself for the trip to the RAC meeting
• Matt to reimburse Brian for his trip to education alley in Cincinnati
• Matt to reimburse myself for the trip to the RLC in Cincinnati.
• Matt to reimburse Amy about $20.00

AERIAL ROBOTICS:

• ECE students are making good progress on the antenna.
• They’ve done a lot of work on a CAD program.
• Paperwork for the radio systems is a lot more involved. Now you need to go into great detail on all the radios you’re using. ECE students know exactly how to fill out the information.
• Competition is coming up next month.

NEWSLETTER:

• Newsletter is printed.
• Aerodynamics department has agreed to pay for printing costs again.
• I spent 160 on stamps.
• Newsletters were folded and stamped during the meeting.
• They should be delivered on June 14^th, 2007.

Camping Trip:

• On hold until late August or early September.
• George suggested going down to Kitt Peak.

Annual Reports due June 30th:

- Matt to call David Haas and ask him to contribute.

- Everyone has access to each award form. Please start filling in your information ASAP.

- Matt to look through starting this week.

New Ideas for Next Year:

• We want to run an event for young professionals perhaps with Laura McGill & RMS management.
• We can do meet and greets at the museum (Thanks Brian).
• We can help out (co-sponsor) Brian’s education outreach at the museum and try to get more educator associates.
• We could get a free challenger learning center mission and tie in YP socials.
