ATTENDEES:

KIDS CLUB:
- Rockets was last Saturday.
- There were 16 kids.
- David Haas helped out.
- Only two rockets were lost.
- Steve Lubliner will send us an invoice Probably
about (5 to 6 bucks a kid).
- This Saturday (May 5th) Vuna Fa will
be doing a session about DNA.
- We’ll do the DBF follow up much later in the
Summer.
KIDS CLUB @ STUDENT DBF:
- We need to get a list of contact info for the
teams.
- Raytheon supplied toys were a big hit.
- The AIAA gliders were a lot of fun.
- It was an amazing success. Everyone had a great time.
- We sent out 4 vanloads of kids. And everyone had a great time.
- UofA, Raytheon, PASM, and AIAA contributed to
the goodie bags.
- Brian made contact with the Kansas Cosmosphere
and they’re interested in doing the same program next year in Wichita.
WEBSITE:
- Frank adding the soaring flyer.
TREASURER:
- Mary Ellen sent a new check for 4K and I
deposited it.
- We got about 750 from the E week banquet
- I reimbursed Gene Austin for about 650.
- We need to touch base with Ola since we think
the DLP agreed to pay for Gene’s extra expenses.
- We still need a treasurer (Matt to re-contact
Nick Cicchini to see if he’s interested – maybe Anthony Boekman).
STUDENT DBF:
- 50 teams submitted reports and 36 teams showed
up.
- Field was great
- Teams enjoyed themselves.
AERIAL ROBOTICS:
- ECE students completed their conceptual design
and it was well received.
- Students will be back next semester to build
some hardware: Steerable
antenna.
- Some will continue work over the summer.

- Doug submitted an article.
- Students submitted an article.
- Sara to send something in.
- Matt to write chairs corner and Gene Austin.
- Sara and Doug will write a soaring thing.
- If Brian and Frank have anything just send it
in.

SOARING CLUB EVENT:
- Event went well.
We got 15 out of the 23 RSVPs.
- Chuck Pinney and Jack Stebe gave good talks.
- Students all had a great time.
- We paid about $1700. We collected about 500.
- Sara learned not to eat pickles before flight.
- Schedule yourself last and you can fly for twice
as long.
- Kate Porter suggested we could do something with
middle school kids in the future.
- We should try this again in the future.
PASM Joe Engle Talk:
- Event went okay.
Just short of 90 or 95.
- Sunday April 29th at 11am
- There’ll be an evening speaker program.
Camping Trip:
- Pushing back
camping trip until the end of the summer.
- George Barber says
he’d help us out then.
